I always thought even the Depeche Mode original of "Enjoy the Silence" had an implied "all I ever wanted is [lying dead] here in my arms", and covers by Tori Amos and Lacuna Coil seemed at least emotionally compatible with this notion, but Dayton post-doom band Close the Hatch finally render it in perfectly gloriously morose blacklight. |
